TWO foreign fishing vessels along with its 38 crew were apprehended by maritime enforcement agencies yesterday morning after the vessels were found conducting illegal fishing in Brunei Darussalam Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ).
Despite the vessels attempt to flee by cutting off their fishing apparatus and leaving them in the water, the maritime enforcement agencies managed to board both vessels for investigation.
Upon conducting a search on the vessels, they found five crewmen on one of the vessels and 33 crewmen on the other vessel.
