BRUNEI will remain committed to the welfare of its military veterans, said the acting minister of defence yesterday.
Speaking at a gathering of ASEAN military veterans, First Admiral (Rtd) Dato Seri Pahlawan Abdul Aziz Hj Mohd Tamit vowed the government will ensure a high quality of life for retired personnel in line with the development goals of Vision 2035.
He said His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, is “very passionate” about military veteran affairs.
