‘Kianggeh vendors must move to Gadong by end of January’

VENDORS at the decades-old Tamu Kianggeh in Bandar Seri Begawan will be required to move to the Gadong market by the end of January next year as the government wants to improve cleanliness there, the Minister of Home Affairs said.

Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia (Dr) Hj Awg Abu Bakar Hj Apong, speaking to reporters, said the clearing of Tamu Kianggeh was part of the government’s move to beautify Bandar Seri Begawan.

“Tamu Kianggeh is near the Kianggeh Cemetery. It is our obligation to keep the place clean.
