Bruneians’ life expectancy up 3 months to 78.8 years

Brunei ranks 31st out of 188 countries on 2015 UN Human Development Index

BRUNEIANS are now expected to live for three months longer compared to the life expectancy of 78.5 years in 2014, according to the annual Human Development Report released by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

Meanwhile, Brunei’s gross national income (GNI) per capita based on purchasing power parity values also increased from US$70,883 to $72,570, which puts it as having the fifth highest GNI per capita in the world.
