THE number of unemployed locals increased from 14,065 persons in June to 14,257 persons in July, the Department of Economic Planning and Development (JPKE) reported yesterday.
More than half of the jobseekers were twenty-something individuals.
Individuals aged 20 to 24 accounted for 28.5 per cent of the total unemployed in July. The number of jobseekers in this age group also went up by 42 persons from the June figure of 4,016 individuals.
