TELEKOM Brunei Berhad (TelBru) yesterday announced a lower entry-level price for broadband Internet in a bid to provide better value for light broadband users and increase broadband takeup.

The new package costs $25 per month with a 25 gigabytes (gb) data cap, about 36 per cent lower than the telco’s previous starting price of $39.

The new plan, which takes effect today, came about a year following the telco’s revision of pricing plans in March 2015 when it reduced Internet prices by as much as 40 per cent to increase user base and encourage balance data consumption.
