Tight competition weigh on cube store sales

TIGHT competition in a small market has squeezed sales of Brunei’s cube stores.

Owners of cube stores and participating vendors interviewed by The Brunei Times said business has been slow for the past few weeks as too many cube shops are saturating the local market.

“Sales have dropped by at least 20 per cent compared to those of the last couple of months. Some vendors have moved out to sell at expos and other cube shops,” said Aleesya Lim, proprietor of CubeCity at The Mall in Gadong.
