Outlook on PMB positive as Southeast Asia ramps up refining capacity

BRUNEI’S Pulau Muara Besar (PMB) refining and petrochemicals complex has a positive outlook even as Southeast Asia increases its refining capacity, an oil and gas analyst from BMI Research said yesterday.

“Besides allowing the economy to diversify away from crude oil, output from the refinery will broaden Brunei's export options and open up new revenue streams,” Peter Lee said in an email interview with The Brunei Times.
