THIRTY-SIX dengue cases were reported in the sultanate from January to June 4 this year, the Ministry of Health (MoH) said yesterday.
Figures from the ministry also showed 317 dengue cases being reported in 2015, with one patient diagnosed with Dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF).
Dengue is a vector-borne disease transmitted by mosquitoes, causing sudden fever and acute pain in the joints, while DHF or better known as severe dengue causes frequent vomiting and abdominal pain.
