IT WAS a good outing for the Brunei athletics team after returning from the recently concluded 63rd Sabah Open Track and Field Championships with a haul of three gold, three silver and three bronze medals.
The result placed Brunei — represented by 35 athletes — fifth overall out of 47 teams at the Sept 9-10 competition, which saw around 700 athletes compete.
Md Asy Syafi’e Md Bohari was the best performer for the sultanate with two gold medals to his name at the Likas Sports Complex in Kota Kinabalu.
