AS BRUNEIANS, youths should empower the Malay language by being fluent in it, eliminating any possibilities of it becoming lost in the future, said Director of Language and Literature Bureau (DBP), Hjh Aminah Hj Momin yesterday.
As we work towards our vision of Wawasan 2035, the younger generation should not only focus on the economic aspects aiming to make Brunei among the top 10 nations of the world, but to equally focus on empowering the Malay language as it is part of our culture, she said in an interview with The Brunei Times.
